By conserving buildings, equipment and skills we conserve memories and values: the very foundations of a community, from which sustainable regeneration can grow.

It is not envisaged that the traditional textile industry, be it carpet or bombazine, will grow to employ the many thousands that it did in centuries past but the Project will provide a stimulus and access to the skills and products of a nationally diverse, progressive and high quality textile industry mainly populated by small businesses and co-ordinating with other sectors, particularly tourism and fashion.
